The Police Directorate is carrying out extensive security measures for the Berlin Process leaders’ summit, which takes place in Budva on 21 and 22 October.
On 21 October, officers from the general-jurisdiction police sector will impose temporary movement limits and traffic suspensions so protected persons and official delegations can travel safely and security operations can proceed.
Periodic stops will run from 14:00 to 22:00 and will depend on the movement of escorted vehicles. The affected routes are Podgorica–Tuzi–Božaj, Podgorica Airport–Golubovci–Virpazar–Bar–Budva, and Bar–Sutomore–Ulcinj–Sukobin border crossing. Traffic on those roads will be halted from time to time, with each stop lasting no longer than 40 minutes.
Police asked citizens, tourists and other road users to plan journeys around the announced limits, to show patience and to follow officers’ instructions on the ground. Any change to the traffic regime will be announced in good time through official information channels. The directorate thanked the public for cooperation that supports security work of importance to Montenegro.
