The Sozina Tunnel has served 3.59 million vehicles since the beginning of the year. The figures come from the website of Monteput, the operator that manages Sozina.
Last year, 4.14 million vehicles passed through the tunnel. Traffic was 3.76 million vehicles in 2024 and 3.5 million in 2023.
The tunnel opened in July 2005. Construction cost about 74 million euros. Montenegro provided 50 million, and 24 million came from a loan by the European Investment Bank.
Sozina is 4.19 thousand metres long and connects the coastal region with the central part of Montenegro.
