Stopped cars on a mountain main road after a convoy incident between Nikšić and Podgorica

Nikšić police have arrested Milan Đukanović on suspicion that he endangered the security escort of Lazar Šćepanović, director of the Police Directorate, on the Nikšić–Podgorica main road. Officers say he overtook the column where passing was not allowed and then deliberately struck one of the escort vehicles with his car.

Prva banka Crne Gore said Đukanović is not employed at the bank and has never been employed there. The statement answered reports in some media. The bank said this is not the first time its name has been placed next to inaccurate and unverified information, and that the pattern suggests an aim of creating a false picture in public.

The bank again asked media to report responsibly and professionally, using accurate and checked facts, so that disinformation does not spread and unsupported conclusions are not drawn.
