BYD’s forthcoming executive electric sedan has appeared in testing with rear-hinged rear doors, commonly known as coach doors. The prototype was shown in footage published by Electrek ahead of the model’s expected debut.

The Chinese manufacturer has indicated that the vehicle is being developed with “unprecedented disruptive technology”. BYD has not publicly detailed the systems referred to in that description.

Reports have also raised the possibility that the sedan could use solid-state battery technology. That remains unconfirmed, and the sighting does not establish the battery type or technical specification of the production car.

For EV drivers in Montenegro, the development is an early signal of how luxury electric models are pushing beyond conventional body designs and equipment. There is no information yet on European pricing, market availability or a Montenegro launch.
